KAP(Krishna Amanpreet Pratiush) Cabs Application
The KAP Cabs Application is an online cab booking application for IIT Kharagpur students.
The application is user friendly & allows customer to choose the type of cab to travel, for instance EECO, Indigo, Omni, Honda City etc.
The customer has to register himself on the website if he is the first time user .Thereafter the user can login with his/her username (i.e his mobile no.) & password.
Customer Services
The customer has three options available to him when he opens the web page viz.
1.Book a cab
2.Feedback about the past travel experience-suggestions or complaints
3.Update his/her information.
Automation
On successful booking of the Cab the following three notifications are sent.
- Confirmation mail automatically sent to users email ID.
- SMS sent to the user indicating his booking details & the driver details.
- SMS to the concerned driver regarding the customer information,pickup location and time.
There is also an Admin/Manager option wherein the manager can update the cab availability for taking another booking & update the collected fare. Also, the Administrator can register new cabs and update the cab information, in case there is some change.
Reports
We have two reports that are generated through this application,namely
1.The amount of fare collected by each Cab
2.The user-wise booking database.
